Since establishing the original business in the 1930s, the Pugh family have been supplying Cardiff and beyond with their unrivalled horticultural products and highly sought-after savvy.
Such has been the demand for this favoured formula that the business has evolved from its humble origins as a market garden of bedding plants, fruit and vegetables, to two grandiose garden villages located in Radyr and Wenvoe.
Over the decades, gardening trends and styles have significantly increased, which has called for many members of the Pugh family to step up and make their mark on the family business.
The sheer demand for diversity made the family question how a single entity could profess such proficiency in all the required areas; and so it was from this unwillingness to compromise on quality, that the garden village concept was born.
Determined to offer customers only the very best meant shunning the idea of ‘departments’ in favour of introducing stand-alone units that would offer expertise in their specialist fields.
Thanks to this unique concept, Pugh’s thriving garden villages now sit majestically on both the Radyr and Wenvoe sites.
