Shrub Area
Coming out from our main shop customers are greeted by our plant area full of plants and much more besides. The number of lorries delivering through the week bears testimony to the popularity of our plants and our horticultural pedigree that has been established over many years, it is in this part the balance between the traditional horticulture and the new concessions is most apparent.
The first part is a covered area where all our seasonal colour is concentrated along with our essential hanging baskets, stakes and plastic pots.
During the summer there is a riot of colour with annuals, perennials in full pomp. During the height of the season thousands of half hardy annuals are displayed under the canopy running down the right hand side of the plant area.
Moving towards the Autumn and it is the Winter flowering pansy's, cyclamen and the Winter heathers that first meet you. As Winter moves towards Christmas, container grown Christmas trees, cyclamen, solaman, holly and wreaths are the seasonal offering. It is during the Winter season when the bedding canopy becomes active again when our no needle drop Nordman trees take pride of place. Pugh's Christmas Trees have become quite famous as we were the first in South Wales to discover the unique benefits of the Nordman as we were the first company in Cardiff to directly import these trees by the container and therefore established a link with a range of danish suppliers.
Progressing down the pathway leads past our promotional offers, the A-Z of shrubs, conifers, perennials, alpines and heathers. Eventually the area leads into our fantastic display of outdoor pots and planters. Pots from all over the world are all on display at incredibly low prices at certain times of the year the are promoted at half price.
Right at the back of the garden centre plant area is our incredibly well stocked Italian specimen area. These are mature plants that our staff have hand picked from our Italian supplier.Landscaping accessories such as trellis, concrete ornaments and decorative gravel are also on display. All in all our whole plant area though the year, anytime of the year makes an unmissable offer.
Pot Planting Service
We have a pot planting service available where one of our qualified staff will take down your requirements and produce a lovely colourful potted arrangement. An ideal gift for a friend. relative or even a special treat for yourself.
Delivery Service
We run a delivery service so if there's something you want but cant get it home there's no need to worry as we will deliver it for you. Its that simple.
