After deciding to close the Food Hall at Pugh’s last month, we have been carefully planning its reopening, introducing strict social distancing measures and policies and re-training our staff. The Food Hall will be restocked full of fresh fruit and veg, eggs, frozen ‘Cook’ meals, milk, bread, cupboard essentials and our butchers Farmers Pantry will be offering a wide selection of produce. Please be reassured that the following will be in place upon your visit:
- Regular sanitation of all surfaces and baskets
- Staff will be wearing full PPE and gloves will be changed after every customer with hand sanitiser used inbetween
- Hand sanitiser upon entry
- Sneeze screens at till points
- Limited customers in store at any one time
- One family member per visit
- One way system around the shop
- 2 meter markers and guidance stickers throughout
- 2 meter markers for queuing outside
- Contactless Card payments ONLY
- Some items limited to one per person
The Food Hall will be open 7 days a week. We appreciate everyone’s support over the recent weeks and taking each day at a time always guided by the government guidelines and ensuring the highest level of safety for both staff and customers at all times. Pugh's Food Hall pays homage to Pugh’s Garden Village roots, Ty Nant Nurseries and the Pugh family’s passion for great quality local produce and love of the country we live in, Wales.
For those looking for foodie inspiration, you can shop everything you need in one convenient location inside the Food Hall including a plethora of locally sourced produce, fresh fruit and veg, fine wines and spirits, cupboard essentials and an exquisite selection of deli produce from all corners of the globe making it the ultimate foodie destination!
Open 9am-5:30pm Monday-Saturday and 10:30am-4:30pm Sunday at Pugh's Garden Village Radyr.
We are proud to support a number of Welsh companies and local suppliers and offer a range of their products inside our Food Hall. You can find free-range eggs from Birchgrove and 'Mr Welsh' duck eggs from Caerphilly, home-made cakes from Cacennau Cakes in Canaerfon and Bens' Bakes from Monmouthshire. Browse a range of Welsh tipples including Cwm Dairy Wine, Celtic Wines, Cardiff Gin and Brecon Beer. We are also proud to stock jam and chutney from 'Welsh Lady Preserves' in Pwllheli as well as local honey from Lisvane and Tonyrefail. You'll also enjoy an array of Snowdonia Cheese exhibited in our fresh deli counter alongside Scotch Eggs from Holy Yolks and Samosaco in Cardiff. That's not all! In our Food Hall we are dedicated to offering sustainable shopping options to help support our efforts to protect our environment. We have a range of zero-packaging products and areas where we encourage you to bring and re-use your own containers. This includes our loose fresh fruit and veg, 'scoop' pick and mix frozen fruit and frozen veg, a range of lentils, oats, rice and pulses available in zero-waste dispensers, plus a range of infused olive oils and balsamic vinegar available in reusable pre-filled bottles or you can bring your own. We also sell a range of products to support sustainable living and we only use 100% compostable catering products in the express coffee bar.
Bespoke hampers can be made to order for you at any time, for any occasion. You can choose the products in line with your budget, whether it be a Gin Hamper, Chocolate Hamper or even a Cheese and Wine hamper, Pedro our Food Hall Manager will work alongside you to meet you requirements and put together the perfect foodie gift for that special someone!
Farmers Pantry Butchers
Within the Food Hall you will also find local, well known butchers Farmers Pantry. Their produce is sourced predominantly from the Vale of Glamorgan (The Garden of Wales) direct from farms and artisan producers. Their experienced and skilled butchers on board seven days a week with a wealth of knowledge, ready to discuss your needs!
