Seasonal Garden Centre Assistant – Shrub Area (May–June)

Location: Pugh’s Garden village Radyr
Contract: Seasonal (April – June)
Hours: 2 x 24 Seasonal Shrub assistant 1 x 15 seasonal Shrub assistant – Sunday- Saturday
Salary: from £10.00pr hr - £12.21 per hr

About the Role

We’re looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals to join our Garden Centre team for the busy spring period. As a Seasonal Garden Centre Assistant working in the Shrub Area, you’ll help customers choose the perfect plants, maintain stock displays, and keep the area looking vibrant and welcoming.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a genuine interest in plants, and thrives in a customer-facing environment.

🌿 Key Responsibilities

Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service regarding shrubs and plant care
Assist with watering, feeding, pruning, and general plant maintenance
Ensure shrub area displays remain tidy, well-stocked, and attractively presented
Support with unloading deliveries and replenishing stock
Offer guidance on plant suitability, placement, and aftercare
Maintain high standards of health and safety across the department

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

Enjoy working outdoors in all weathers
Have a passion for plants or gardening (experience a bonus but not essential)
Are confident speaking with customers and providing helpful advice
Are physically able to lift and move stock
Work well as part of a friendly, supportive team
Can commit to working throughout April –June, including weekends and bank holidays if required
