Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant – Food Hall & Deli Counter
Location: Pugh’s Garden Village, Wenvoe

Hours: Part-time 2 x 5 hours positions over two days

Hours of work shifts over a seven-day period Monday- Sunday

Hours of work: 10:00am – 15:00pm occasional late night until 19.00pm during peak seasons. These times are negotiable at interview.

Salary: from £10.85 per hr depending on age

We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our vibrant Food Hall team at Pugh’s Garden Village, Wenvoe.

About the Role

In this varied role, you’ll not only serve customers across our food hall, but also assist on our busy deli counter, offering freshly prepared produce, cheeses, cooked meats, and other tempting treats. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere, keep displays looking their best, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Greeting and assisting customers in a warm, professional manner
Serving customers at the deli counter, slicing, weighing, and packaging products
Sharing product knowledge and making recommendations
Operating the till and handling cash/card payments
Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive product displays
Keeping the food hall and deli counter clean, tidy, and inviting
Following all food hygiene and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

Previous retail, deli, or customer service experience (preferable but not essential – we’ll train the right person)
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
Reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team
An interest in fresh, quality food and local produce
Willingness to learn food preparation and handling skills
