Are you passionate about gardening and enjoy helping people achieve success in their gardens? We're looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Garden Products Assistant to join our team at Wenvoe Garden Centre.

As a Garden Products Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating an inspiring shopping experience for our customers. You'll provide expert advice on a wide range of garden care products, maintain attractive and well-stocked displays, and help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

You'll also have the opportunity to support our Outdoor Living team during busy periods, assisting customers with products such as garden furniture, barbecues, outdoor heating, and seasonal outdoor living ranges.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and expert advice on:
• Composts and growing media
• Fertilisers and plant nutrition
• Lawn care products
• Soil improvers and mulches
• Weed, pest and disease control products
• Garden chemicals and sundries
• Help customers select the right products for their gardening needs.
• Maintain attractive, well-stocked, and accurately priced displays.
• Replenish stock and support stock management activities.
• Assist with seasonal promotions, launches, and merchandising changes.
• Support the Outdoor Living department as required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and product presentation.
• Keep up to date with new products and industry best practice.

• Enjoy providing excellent customer service.
• Be confident offering advice and product recommendations.
• Be organised, proactive, and hands-on.
• Have strong attention to detail.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Be flexible and willing to support different departments when required.
• Be available to work weekends, bank holidays, and peak seasonal periods.

Previous retail, garden centre, or horticultural experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
