Job Opportunity: Sales Assistant – Food Hall & Deli Counter
Location: Pugh’s Garden Village, Radyr
Employment Type: Part-Time - Two Positions Available, 1 x 14 hours contract Sat/Sun, 1 x 6 hour contract every other Saturday
Salary: from £12.21 per hour depending on age

Do you have a passion for great food, quality service, and friendly customer interactions? We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our vibrant Food Hall team at Pugh’s Garden Village, Radyr.

About the Role

In this varied role, you’ll not only serve customers across our food hall, but also assist on our busy deli counter, offering freshly prepared produce, cheeses, cooked meats, and other tempting treats. You’ll help create a welcoming atmosphere, keep displays looking their best, and make sure every customer leaves happy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting customers in a warm, professional manner
• Serving customers at the deli counter, slicing, weighing, and packaging products
• Sharing product knowledge and making recommendations
• Operating the till and handling cash/card payments
• Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive product displays
• Keeping the food hall and deli counter clean, tidy, and inviting
• Following all food hygiene and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous retail, deli, or customer service experience preferable 
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
• Reliability and the ability to work well as part of a team
• An interest in fresh, quality food and local produce
• Willingness to learn food preparation and handling skills
